The coil pack for the Buick Grand National is a distributorless ignition and fires COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than an application that has a single coil and distributor. Henceforth the coils that you want to use WILL NOT work properly.

The better coils for your application would be the 8232 Blaster Single Tower Coil (page 57 on the provided link)

so you are saying that you can only use part number 8207 in a single coil setup for use with a distributor?

The coils that you want to use (8202) WILL NOT work properly.

I wanted to use the 8207's and in fact after going over several schematics with a master nissan mechanic at the dealership, found it it WILL WORK. I finished the install about an hour ago and just took it for a test run and it runs well, much smoother than before. I will post a complete write up on the wiring and pictures when I get some time.

Any chance of a wiring diagram how you got these to work?

Now if you can run the Grand National wasted spark setup "hypothetically" should I not be able to run 6 individual coils?
Not even close to a similar system.

Waste spark coils are 2 terminal driven by a DFI module.

You will not get any MSD or any other 2 terminal coil to function in your case.

Change the whole ignition, engine management if you want.

MSD coils are designed for CDI, not Inductive/HEI.
