    Default MSD 62153 Ticking

Hi all, new to this forum.

I have just installed an MSD 62153 with a noise capacitor. Works perfectly but there is a ticking that it makes and gets faster as the rpmís increase, very annoying considering itís mounted in the cabin. Is this normal ?

    Cheers

    Pretty normal operation.
If the car isn't loud enough, exhaust etc, you might want to relocate the module to the engine bay.
Not normally a concern in modified street cars and race cars.

What vehicle have you fitted this into?

Is the street version 62152 more quiet ?

Pretty serious V6 you have there.
The 62152 produces less energy, but still enough for a street car.
    Who recommended the 62153?

I originally had it for my turbo build in another car but never used it and was just sitting around so decided to use it. Is a little noisy for my liking, but before I consider moving it want to find out if the 62152 is anymore quiet. If it's not I'll just move this one to the bay.

    Good morning,

No even if you buy a new box you will still hear that buzzing sound. If your going to leave it in the cab then just make sure you have some type of air flow to the box so it wont over heat.
