Hi Everyone...
I have a 1977 Camaro Z28 with a 383 Stoker and a Street Fire distributor PN 8402 along with an MSD 6AL-2 PN 6421. I am using my stock tachometer attached to the grey wire of the 6AL-2 and the filter is by-passed.

The problem I am having is that when I start the engine, the tack sits at zero, or slightly below. As I rev the engine up, the tachometer goes up. It just seems to be out 1,000 or so RPM. It's not erratic or jumpy, it is just out of wack. Could the problem be corrected with a tach adapter and if so which one would I use.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
