Im new to the Power Grid, Im running a 598 BBC Alcohol in a jet boat, so 1 gear only. I having trouble getting the right tuning on my timing curve to make my engine run right. My timing starts out at 40* and advances to 52* from 2500rpm to 5500rpm and stays at 52* to max rpm. does this seem like enough advancement for alcohol. anyone have any normal timing curves alcohol to give me a better starting point to go from?

Also, where do i set my distributor when MSD box is at 40* when idling. I feel like i could be "long arcing" my distributor contacts but not sure how to check it.
