Default Splicing two MSD 8862 cables

Do I simply plug them in together and ground both cables?

You only need to ground the outer braided shield on each one.
Have you got 2 8862s connected together in series?

    Just ground both shields.

You could have a quick connect where the two lead join together, and ground the shield at a convenient location.

Question now is, why do you need such a long length of trigger harness?

Things work faster on shorter wires.

Box is in the cab of my truck and I'm using a crank trigger....
I only need 8', using a length of twisted shielded pair cable I made my own today using MSD ends, grounded it on the ignition side.

    Yes, that's sounds very good.
Maybe MSD should make a 9ft cable?
